Introduction: After Hours Hypnotherapy is the premier hypnotherapy service in Augusta and is the third highest ranked hypnotherapy provider in the United States. We know what it is like to have to juggle therapy appointments around school or work and we wanted to assure we never put our clients in that situation. I love making people feel better and improving themselves. The more my clients relax, the better my experience as well as their own. I only do hypnotherapy and counseling. I do not do acupuncture contrary to what Thumbtack seems to think. If I declined you and that is what you are requesting, that's why. I'm very sorry. Thumbtack is charging me $4 every time I need to respond to an email and doesn't even tell me when there are emails to respond to me so I can't even tell you that I don't do the thing you are requesting. Melvin talked to me of about an hour about hypnosis education. He is very knowledgeable about hypnosis, he was able to answer all my questions in detail as well as include interesting and entertaining stories. Melvin is obviously very passionate about it and has taken the time to master his craft. Glad I got to ask him my questions. I learned about different styles of hypnosis, how hypnotists can test suggestibility, and the dangers of self hypnosis when you gave anxiety. I felt more secure after hearing about all the hours he put in and the continuing education and investment he puts into his business. He works hard to hone his craft and isn't someone who just took a class over the weekend. Melvin experienced doing hypnosis for a variety of issues. Have never tried hypnosis with another person but would work with a Melvin if I ever do!

And now we know why!His knowledge and expertise is exactly what we needed to get us through this incredible new experience. In full disclosure, I've known Mel since long before he became a hypnotist (we used to co-write stories together) so he didn't charge me for my sessions, but he said the best "thank you" I could give him was a referral if I found it effective. Since I don't know many people due to social anxiety, I opted to leave a review instead. I hope that is allowed. As Mel knows, I have had some pretty bad anxiety over my life... panic attacks were a biggie and I would tend to not leave my house for weeks or even months on end. When we were meeting for the first time in a long time over Hanukkah 2017, I noticed he was super calm and asked when his last panic attack was, as he also used to have bad anxiety. When I found out when it was and how he reduced them, he offered to work a bit on me. I've had two sessions with him and I really do feel much better, I've gone out of the house a few times. Certainly the anxiety has decreased enough that I've not been having to take my as-needed anxiety medication at all, although I am still on my daily anxiety medications. I'm hoping my psychiatrist is open to letting me reduce the medication a bit so we can see how much the hypnosis is working.

$150 an hour generally for hypnotherapy. If you tell me at the consultation you found me here, you can get a free consultation and then $50 off whatever appointment you want.

I have them fill out an electronic intake prior to seeing me. I then work from there to work on their session.
