I was frustrated that Chris cancelled a few hours before he was scheduled to arrive, due to a "medical emergency." I couldn't help but be skeptical as this seemed like an extreme explanation for rescheduling, but I imagine it could have been the truth. I'm the type who appreciates just a "Hey, I'm so sorry but I have to reschedule", not the dramatized version (but if there truly was an emergency...I hope everyone is fine). Hello Heather. Thank you for your honest feedback and I will keep how I phrase my messages in mind for the future. As an explaination for what happened, I was struck in my face and had to have an emergency dental procedure done. I did let you know as soon as it happened and I knew I wouldn't be able to help you. I am sorry it was only about 3.5 hours of notice. I was honestly panicking when I wrote to you (I thought I might lose my teeth) and I apologize that that came across. I do pride myself in being reliable; I make it a point to be on time and to always communicate with my clients, especially if there is a change of plan. I am sorry that that was not your experience. Chris was on time for our appointment. Even though a few items were missing from the chair to be assembled he got it done perfectly using his own tools. He was efficient polite and friendly. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I start with a free estimate. I then discuss with the client what exactly they were wanting done or expecting. If there are many projects to complete I set up a time frame and priority to each one while giving prices individually. If there is only a single item to repair the price is straightforward before work begins.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My father was a master electrician and my grandfather was a master plumber. I have just been around fixing houses and customizing them for as long as I can remember.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I have worked on everything from a blown sprinkler to a full remodel of a kitchen. My ultimate goal is to be that guy you can call when you need something done and know that it will be done right.
