Owner, Josh Thompson has been in the wood flooring industry since he was 17 years old. Originally from Brandon, Miss., Josh moved to Austin in 2003 and worked for a high-end hardwood flooring company for two years before starting Thompson's Hardwood Flooring in 2005.

Josh helped us with a previous home to replace all our carpet throughout the whole house. We moved to a new neighborhood last year and called Josh again to upgrade us to whole-house hardwood floors. They look incredible!
Josh had great ideas for the direction to lay the wood and how to make it pop on our stairway. And he was very flexible giving us honest feedback on selecting a wood that was in our budget, but would last us for the life of the home (with a big dog and a toddler!). He's a charming guy that makes you feel relaxed during the process and very knowledgeable of the options out there.
Our floors look incredible. Just ask our Roomba!

Josh Thompson has done two major projects in our home. He installed hardwoods in the downstairs portion of the house and in the stairways. We were very pleased with the work and his ability to match the new hardwoods to the existing ones. We also very much appreciated his professionalism and timeliness in getting the job done. We would refer anyone to Josh and his crew becase we love our new floors!
