FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of the products are priced with installation. This would include the flooring material and any setting materials or underlayment that would be necessary (excluding concrete board). I can also sell materials only, Cash & Carry, as well as installation only (some restrictions apply).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I start working with a new customer the typical process is pretty simple and starts with a conversation. I generally ask several questions about a customer's lifestyle that will help me to guide them to a product that will best fit all of their needs as well as their budget. At that point the product selection begins. I will let the customer start the selection process since they know best the look that they are trying to get. I will then make additional suggestions, based on what they have told me, that would be good options as well. Once that has been done then it is time to visit with the client at their home to show them what they selected in their space with their decor and lighting. This is also a time when measurements of the space can be taken. Once that is complete and a final product has been selected then a proposal will be put together for the client. Then, if the decision is made to work together, then materials will be ordered and installations will be scheduled.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In the flooring industry, there is no formal schooling that is available but I have attended several product training seminars that have been provided by different flooring manufacturers. Although I am not an installer personally, I have also attended several installation workshops that have provided me with extensive knowledge on installation processes.
