FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour ($30) and will provide you with an estimate. The estimate will be based of the extent of the project, property size, and how much time I believe I will need to complete the tasks.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process for every new client I like to set up initial meeting on site to discuss current landscape deficiencies, the clients goals for the project, design aesthetic, and overall project budget. From there I like to discuss my process of what the client can expect to receive in the second meeting. The second meeting would consist of schematic drawings which starts to develop ideas of what the landscape could possible look like through a series of plan sketches, sections, perspective sketches, and character images. At that point I will take the clients feedback and make one more round of drawings to present at a final meeting which should encompass the design aesthetics and functionality discussed in the previous meetings. Lastly the project can be sent out for biding to a landscape construction company of your choice or I could offer my assistance with that process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Boston Architectural College with a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture. Prior to getting my degree I have work for a couple landscape construction companies for 6 years and have worked for two high-end residential firms both in Boston, MA and here in Austin, TX for the past 4 years. I still currently work as a designer for a firm and would like to continue to develop as a designer and begin to really develop my personal portfolio.
