FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not discuss pricing until the end of the Discovery Session. Coaching is so personal, it's important to discern whether or not we are a good fit. I would rather meet with a future client two or three times and then decide to do the Discovery Session. It's important for both of us to feel confident that we want to work together, and then KNOW at the end of the Discovery Session that it's a Heck Yes or it's a No Thank You. The investment is in yourself, and once you get clear on what you are investing in, you are either willing to do that or you aren't, and even just knowing that has been beneficial to future clients!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everything I do with potential clients is free of charge. We have an initial meeting, a get to know you session, where we talk about what's happening in your life and why you want a coach. I will also talk about how I work and what I do that might helpful. If it feels like a good fit, we schedule a 2 Hour Discovery Session. In this session (also free) we talk extensively about what you want to achieve or resolve through the coaching process. We dive deep here, and give everything room to come out to be sure that you will get what you want from coaching with me. At the end of the Discovery Session, we review a coaching agreement together, and then we choose to work together or we choose not to work together. It's a very simple process and I potential clients end up telling me they feel like they're taking advantage of me! I just smile, because I love to coach, and meeting new people who need my service is a fun and fulfilling part of my job!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 3000 hours of one-on-one coaching experience, and have taught more than 1000 students in one-day and weekend seminars. I have invested over $100,000 in my personal development, including attending an 11 month Coaching and Leadership Training Program in 2010. If measured in time spent in the classroom, combined with experience of practice, I have the equivalent of a PhD in Gender Dynamics and Relationship Dynamics. However, it's important that I be clear: I graduated high school and never attended a post-secondary educational institution. That means I never attended college or university of any kind and HOLD NO DEGREES. However, I have an intelligence and drive around learning and have been self taught in many things throughout my life. Prior to learning about coaching, I was a partner in a Network Services Consulting business for 6 years, and taught myself everything I needed to know to keep my clients' small business computer networks up and running. I was a student of Nicole Daedone, one of the country's foremost experts on the feminine model of intimacy and relating dynamics, for 8.5 years. There is plenty of mainstream press on her so please feel free to look her up. While sometimes a controversial figure, I am proud to have been a student of hers in this vital and enriching work. NOTE: Coaching is just talking. No matter what you read about Nicole Daedone, know that you will not be asked to do anything in our sessions except talk. Ever.
