- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Photo session quotes include a free consultation, and organizing all the details leading up to your shoot, from contract to locations. It is possible for me to arrange additional services to make your session that much more professional, such as a makeup artist, a stylist, or special location if you desire, but please be aware additional charges apply. Usage rights include unlimited personal, social media, and promotional usage. Publishing and resell rights for after you get famous must be negotiated separately :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a free 30 minute consultation to align on vision, details, times etc. then we proceed to contracts. For creative and commercial shoots we collaborate on a moodboard. Custom creative and commercial projects require a 50% deposit at the time we sign contracts. I use this deposit to secure locations, props, photo assistants etc. in order to prep for your shoot. For event photography and headshot clients, a $50 or 25% (whichever is greater) non-refundable fee is due to secure the booking, and is applied toward the balance of your shoot. Then Shoot Day! followed by retouching, and a round of client feedback. Final balances are payable upon approval of final photos, and prior to digital delivery.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Photography, and an MFA in Computer Arts. I also used to own and run a creative photo studio in East Austin.
