FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is not standard; some edits take longer than others and everyone's writing skills are different. For example, a book will take longer to edit than a poem. The charges are usually project-dependent as opposed to one flat rate. We work within the client's budget, as needed, and on a case-by-case basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We usually start with a free sample edit of some portion of their writing. I then send it back. Once hired, I complete the project. I send back a larger portion of the document. Upon receiving that larger portion of the document, payment is expected promptly. Once payment is received, the final document is sent to the client. Please note: for larger jobs, a 1/3 to 1/2 deposit is expected at the time of hire.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master of Science and Master of Public Health (both requiring extensive reading, writing, and editing skills). I have a medical background and am able to edit medical writings and others such as science, education, and art writings.
