FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Things calculated into my price: fabric, notions/accessories, time/labor, cutting, and travel (if applicable). Fabric is usually the bulk of the price as certain materials cost more than others, especially laces, silks & linens, imports, and fabrics with embellishments. This can also affect the other materials used and time. I will know exactly how much fabric is needed after receiving measurements. I only use quality fabrics! I aim to provide unmatched customer service. My work doesn't stop until the customer is satisfied with the result. Even more, I provide other services such as dry clean and maintenance/preservation. Ask me about how you might receive a discount!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Custom garments are very personal and are made to fit YOU (your size, your style, your personality, etc.) whereas the clothing that you buy in stores is made to fit an outdated "standard" size and made in bulk. This leads to people spending more money to get the right fit, so why not get the right fit from the start? However, please be advised that custom garment creation typically requires a more flexible budget. Sewing customs is what is called in the industry "slow fashion" because it is made with awareness, responsibility, attention to detail and quality that's built to last time and time again.
