FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to meet the customer and talk about the job, what it will take, and how to go about accomplishing it before I make a preliminary quote and schedule a time to complete the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out running a lathe in my family's machine shop at the age of 12, and have been involved in manufacturing my whole life. My grandfather was a ship's carpenter in the Merchant Marines, and I have always been passionate about woodworking, having grown up with all custom furniture in the house.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Right out of college I began working for my family's manufacturing business, and was involved with that for 5 years. When my wife and I had our son, the time required to be in charge of such a large operation was no longer a reality, so I left to work in my area of passion, which has always been woodworking. Now I work for myself as a handyman and custom woodworker specializing in furniture.
