- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee for a 50 minute session is $140. A reduced fee may be available based on financial need. Please contact me to discuss the possibility of receiving a reduced fee. I accept cash, checks, square cash, and credit cards. Payment will be due at the time of service. I am a provider for Beacon Health Strategies (Alameda Alliance - Medical) and Compsych Employee Asssistance program. For all other insurance companies, I am an out-of-network provider. Depending on your insurance, you might be eligible for reimbursement for mental health counseling. If after verifying your benefits with your insurance company, you choose to use your insurance, I can provide you with a monthly statement to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I am happy to discuss any questions you have about this policy.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Finding the right therapist is the most important part of this process, and I'm happy to discuss any thoughts or concerns you might have about therapy or the way I work. Please contact me if you have questions or would like to arrange a free 20-minute phone consultation. I generally respond to messages within 24-48hours, Monday through Friday.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Somatics from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Since graduation have been trained in individual, adolescent, couples, and family therapy and formally hold training in DBT therapy, perinatal therapy, and EMDR.
