Mr. Cicerchi spent 3 years in the Peace Corps working in rural areas of Peru under uncomfortable conditions, lacking basic services and surrounded by people with poor understanding. He has been successful in implementing program goals and objectives. He has developed good skills to deal with children and youth. He has organized youth groups to implement diverse activities related to education and the environment. He is very good at training and keeping youth focused and motivated. In addition, he was in charge of managing a group of Peace Corps volunteers working in the Junin National Reserve, being responsible for institutional coordination and technical and personal support for volunteers, which he performed effectively. Mr. Cicerchi has been very efficient in communicating with targeted groups, students and local people, he was successful in transferring knowledge and our program messages. David provided critical group facilitation, civic engagement, and direct training to cross-sector and interdisciplinary beneficiaries in a $50,000 USD public health project I launched in Peru. The U.S. President's Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief funded a portion of the project, while local Peruvian government agencies funded matching contributions. David's role was to meet with governors, mayors, teachers, youth, and other stakeholders to stimulate interest in combating HIV in a large but underserved province in northern Peru, particularly among youth populations most affected by a growing concentrated epidemic. He led or co-facilitated a series of successful training sessions with teachers, students, and health officials covering topics such as leadership, communication, and disease prevention. David's dedication, efficiency, and innovation in delivering resources and information contributed to our team reaching over 1,000 key stakeholders and beneficiaries.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For organizations, a free initial conversation to learn organization's history, strengths, needs, and aspirations, and determine alignment with my capacities. I send a potential customer a proposal and begin the process immediately after signing the document. For personal coaching, I first ask about the "issue" to work on, and then ask various questions to gather perspectives on the issue, find the client's inner voice, and coach in specific techniques to resolve the issue and ultimately help the client develop a bigger sense of who they are.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I originally started in Peru during the Peace Corps, when I worked with local community organizations, schools, and government institutions to design and implement projects, coach leaders, and facilitate individual, organizational, and community development. I subsequently coordinated a leadership development project for Nigerians and advised on their organizational development. Since then, I have integrated coaching and organizational development into all my professional roles. I've been meditating and practicing integral spirituality for over a decade, which brings me a greater awareness of the dynamics of spiritual development.
