When you travel, your cats get to stay at home where they feel safe and comfortable. I come to your home and carefully follow your instructions to provide food, water, waste clean up, medication, and TLC. Whether shy, playful, grumpy, or affectionate, each kitty is given lots of attention just the way they like it. You will receive daily updates with pictures or videos so that you can relax on your trip, with proof that your kitties and home are well cared for. I enjoy catering to the unique needs, desires, and mood swings of my feline friends. I'm happy to mix their food just how they like it; discover their favorite spots to be scratched (and which spots are NOT to be touched); or speak softly for as long as it takes to make the shyest kitties feel safe to come out of their hiding spots. I used to be the kind of cat mom who would board my cat or have a local student drop by to feed my cat. I feel so badly now for not knowing better. When I boarded, I always felt guilty for leaving my girl confined in a strange and scary place. Then I hired a local teen to stop by, but when I came home to an empty water bowl and a kitty who was starved for attention, I decided to bite the bullet and hire a professional pet/house sitter. I decided to have Mzima stay overnight rather than drop in once per day, because her overnight rates were so affordable and this way I knew my kitty would get hours of company each day and night. Mzima sent me the cutest pictures, videos, and text updates of my baby and it was such a relief to not have to worry or feel guilty while I was gone. I came home to a clean house & a happy, healthy, relaxed kitty. I highly recommend Mzima (and her daughter who is so gentle and sweet with cats)!

Mzima exceeded my expectations. Knowing my cats are being responsibly taken care of with love is priceless. I was a little nervous about having a child stay in my home but she turned out to be an added bonus! Mzima's daughter was so sweet with my cats and they warmed up to her quickly. I couldn't tell a child had been in my home when I returned but my cats got twice the playtime and cuddles by having two cat lovers stay in my house. I 1000% recommend Mzima as an overnight house and cat sitter!

Mzima did Reiki therapy on our sick bunny and she was very professional. She asked questions about the bunny's condition and took down notes. She explained to us in details about what she would do and handled our bunny very gently. I could tell that my bunny enjoyed her presence and her therapy.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Discover if we are a good match. Let's chat and discover if I can meet your needs, dates, and location. Step 2: Meet and Plan. I come over for a complementary meeting. Your family and I get comfortable with each other and you show me your cat's routine. I take lots of notes on how best to care for your cat(s) and home and I collect emergency contacts, vet info, and a key. We decide on the dates and times to start and finish service and we both sign a service agreement. Step 4: Prepare for your trip. I send you a checklist to help you prepare your home and cat(s) for your trip. Step 5: You enjoy your trip. I stay at your home and perform the care as agreed. I send you updates with pics or videos so that you can see how well your kitties are doing. Step 6: You return to a home that is as clean or cleaner than you left it and a kitty who is loved, not lonely.
