- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Additional students $25 per person Please note that these are guidelines, designed to give some structure to your planning. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we start with a phone call, going over all the details of your event, with a focus on budget and menu. For the most productive and time saving conversation, it's helpful if potential customers could check out menu options on my website before our chat. Shortly after the call, I'll email you a customized quote and menu. There can be a bit of back and forth at this point, usually via email, to iron out all the details. Once we've agreed on the game plan, I'll draw up a simple service agreement for both parties to sign, and a 25% deposit is due. The remainder is due the day of the event.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working in restaurants in college, repeatedly getting thrown into creative and supervisory positions within 2-3 weeks despite being hired at entry level! While living in Joshua Tree, CA, I managed to get my foot in the door at the very busy retreat center there. Working with multiple freelance chefs on a wide variety of events and menus, I learned the catering ropes quickly, and began contracting events myself in 2014. Since then, networking has brought me to cater events in Lenox, MA, Sedona, and Malibu.
