- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During our first meeting I'll ask a series of questions that are designed help me evaluate your dog's behavior and potential sources, if any. Then I'll spend time getting to know your dog and making note of behaviors and your dog's interaction style. From there I'll chart a series of steps needed to get a favorable resolution. I also take note of the dog's diet and health history.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Two apprenticeships and a dog behavior internship and a dog training school.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in a rural area and my family had many animals so did my friends. In college my friends and I had a quasi rescue. We would rescue dogs dumped on ranches and find homes for them. I would train the dogs to make them more adoptable. Since then I have volunteered at various rescues
