- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We generally price our exterior painting service using the square footage of the home as listed on the county records. Many jobs fall into our square footage pricing model but some require a different approach.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After making contact with the customer, we look at the house through the Palm Beach or Broward County Property Appraisers Office. We give an estimate based on the square footage of the home. This is an approximate estimate to see if we are within the budget of the homeowner. We then set an appointment to meet and discuss the scope of the work. A detailed estimate is then issued either by email, regular mail or in person. We follow up with the customer to answer any questions they may have regarding the contract. Before we issue a binding contract, we have to see the house.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1982. I have been a painting contractor since 1977. First as a seasonal painter in New Jersey and then I started my current business in 1983 in Florida.
