They haven’t began work yet. It starts this Wednesday and their doing more than just painting the house. Their doing my complete yard construction and killing of all the weeds, berry bushes & tree trimming and a small apple tree removal. Pressure washing the house then painting

The project was to seal and stain the deck, fence and patio. They did not show up 3 times. When Selvint came to pressure wash, he only got 1/2 of the deck washed, the other half, he said he did not want to “damage the wood”, that he would sand it the next day. When I asked why he didn’t pressure wash the fence and patio, he said he wanted to focus on the deck first, then later admitted he ran out of gas. I had to fire him due to his unreliability and incompetence.

Sorry we had a fall out but everything I said was true. I wanted to focus on deck first since that was a large area of the work . Pressure washer ran out of gas and was going to return follow day in late evening to sand deck and continue washing fence/patio. Any professional will tell you the same thing as well if you pressure wash to close to any wood it will damage it. Section where you saw were more peeling was because untreated area for year had moss and mildew and that ate the stain away showing area of deck being more flaked then others and I advice if we kept pressure washing more it will damage wood. Again sorry for the fall out and wish you the best.

Selvint was prompt in his responses. My roof needed repair - he gave me an upfront estimate and later sent his people for a review - after which a detailed estimate was sent to me. We agreed upon fixes and the price and next day the workers showed up and did a decent job. I will likely hire him again for more work in the future.
