FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off in the fashion industry as a model back in 1998, which took me all over the world. I was fortunate to work with top photographers like Mark Seliger and Peter Lindbergh, as well as countless others. Over time I developed an eye for lighting and angles, figuring out how to showcase people in the best way. Just as importantly, I learned what it’s like to be on both ends of the camera, and how to communicate with and direct a client through a shoot, all while having fun!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
While I do often work with experienced models and actors, recently I had a few clients who weren’t all that excited about the idea of being in front of the camera- which is very common as well. Once we got going I coached them and joked with them until we were all having a good time, and the images turned out great! These sessions were each around two hours, but the session lengths usually range between one and four hours, sometimes more depending on the number of people and what we’re going for.
