Introduction: I'm an award-winning professional photographer living in Brooklyn. I studied photography at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and graduated in 2014. I photographed my first wedding in Central Park in 2012 and I've been hooked on photographing life cycle milestones ever since. From 2013-2015 I worked as a Photo Editor at The New Yorker magazine. My photojournalism work is frequently featured in magazines and newspapers. I love meeting new people and being able to photograph their special moments.

Jackson photographed my proposal to my longtime girlfriend at a chocolate factory in Brooklyn. Jackson beautifully captured our overwhelming joy and eternalized one of the happiest moments of our lives. Prior to the proposal, Jackson made sure he was prepared with all the logistical arrangements so he could position each shot. Following our proposal, Jackson worked promptly to deliver all of our photographs within a matter of hours. I take great joy whenever I look back at the photos every so often.

What a friendly cheerful guy who engaged my kids and had patience beyond patience!! Gave us advice how to pose and hold our bodies, chin up head down and didn't quit until the shot was just so. Highly recommend and would definitely use again!!!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I work with them to compile the list of photographs they know they want (shoving cake in each others faces, great aunt dancing) to be sure that they're not missed. Then we go through what the ceremony will be like and what type of vibe you'd like the images to be.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. I have 2 years experience working as a photo editor at the New Yorker magazine and 6 years experience working as a professional photographer.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

While in college, one of my professors reached out to me because two of his friends were looking for a non-traditional wedding photographer. He said they were art collectors and the wanted a street photographer (which I was, and still am) to give their unconventional wedding (it was in Central Park and had 20 people) the right fit. I had an amazing time and they were ecstatic with the images, so I continued to shoot!
