FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked with children for over two decades. My experience includes nannying and teaching, among other endeavors. I hold a MS in Social Science and an advanced certificate in UN Studies with a focus on Children's Rights. My husband and I have spent time traveling around the world and I pull knowledge from various corners of the world and many different cultures in an effort to leave no stone unturned when it comes to creating solutions with families.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My work with families has progressed naturally. Many years ago I realized that what I loved most about childcare was watching children and families get over hurdles and grow in ways they thought themselves incapable of. I like the challenges- the kids who don't go quietly, who refuse to do something just because the grown ups said so. Those kids have the potential to change the world. It's my job to help their parents figure out how to positively support them on that journey.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with families from all walks of life. Traditional, non-traditional, foster families, multi- cultural families, new families, families dealing with loss, teen moms, grandparents raising grandchildren, single parent families, and more. My clients tend to be interested in gentle parenting and positive discipline. I will not work with families interested in physical punishment of their children.
