- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. I price per serving. Fondant cakes start at $9.25 per serving. Buttercream cakes start at $7.50 per serving. The final price depends on the level and complexity of the design. A custom cake decorated with hand made sugar flowers and edible 24-kt gold leafing will cost more than a simple cake.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am mostly self-taught but I have taken many classes to improve my skills and keep abreast with trends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up assisting my mother and grandmother in the kitchen with baking homemade cakes and breads from scratch. After being frustrated looking for the perfect party cakes for my sons birthdays I started by making their cakes and I haven't stopped since.
