Introduction: As a member of the U.S. Chess Federation for a decade, and a career that spans over 16-years, I offer a wide breadth of experience with chess, chess-education, and participating in tournaments on local and national-levels.
My background as an educator provides with skills in classroom management, having taught chess in diverse classroom settings with students throughout the NY area. I have developed an eye for helping students apply their chess-skills in their academic- and social-lives, whether through pursuing STEM fields or through my past involvement in anti-bullying campaigns to better student relations.
Developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills reflects my own steadfast belief in the importance of chess as an accessible medium that enables young people to engage with their futures in new ways.
