Introduction: Writ Studio founder Heather Pitts was raised with a camera in her hand (usually it was her dad's, which she stole from him). She has been photographing families, commercial projects, landscapes, weddings, and travel for over ten years, and hopes to never stop. She is currently employed by Texas A&M University as a Graphic Designer and Photographer.
I'm what's known as a hybrid shooter. I shoot both film and digital, in order to bring my clients the best of both worlds. Film has such a creamy softness that digital just hasn't been able to match, and I love the way it handles skin tones and highlights. I also love the sharpness and rich, deep shadows that digital can manage in low light. So why choose between them? I use both film and digital during your session, to always bring you consistently gorgeous images.

Plenty of people out there have a camera and know how to use it, but you deserve to love your photographer as much as your photos. Small moments are just as important to me as the big romantic gestures - they all come together to tell your story, and I would love the opportunity to document your love authentically and artistically.

Heather is immensely talented and a pleasure to work with. She pays close attention to details, has a creative eye, and will make you feel like you've been friends for 10 years even if you've just met. Sessions with her are fun and relaxed.

I recently had Writ Studio do some artwork for my office and I couldn't be more impressed. It came out exactly as I hoped - actually, better than I hoped! Because of that, I looked into having Heather take our family photos! I can't wait to work with her again.

Heather and Russell are phenomenal to work with. We worked with them to capture a glamorous engagement session and we loved the experience. I worked closely with Heather on the styling for the shoot, discussing everything from clothing to hair and makeup. She was always quick to respond and open to exploring new style/location ideas. We ended up with two looks and we shot out at Lake Conroe. Russell and Heather scouted out several locations before we arrived and honestly I'm not sure how they found some of the spots way back in the woods, but they were beautiful and perfect for the natural glam we were going for. Both photographers brought their own style and skill to the shoot. Heather shot with film and Russell with digital and they both captured very different and beautiful shots. I love seeing their personalities come out as much as they brought ours out! I'm so thrilled with our experience and our images (we even used several at our wedding)! I highly recommend using Writ Studio, they are exceptional and I'm already planning our next shoot with them!
