Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I work one-on-one with creatives, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and bloggers to help them strategize and build their online presence. I specialize in both WordPress + Squarespace websites and all of my designs and developments are mobile responsive and SEO friendly. The internet is a big complicated place and I'm here to help make your corner of the web as powerful as possible. I get to know your visions, goals, & business so I can help tackle your digital problems. Websites are not a one-size-fits-all type of thing. You need a strategic solution & I'm here to help! Basically, I’m obsessed with coding/design and I’m curious about anything related to them. I love the internet. Not just social media, but like the techy weird stuff that makes the internet, the internet. I believe in creating websites that connect you with your audience. I focus on turning visitors into customers & enhancing their user experience along the way. Websites have the power to shape first impressions & strengthen reputations. A powerful website is more than a good-looking design; it’s a strategic mix of beauty, functionality, & communication. In a nutshell, that’s what I do for you. I care about every pixel & every user. With my background in fine arts tied together with my obsession for coding, I create the perfect combination; visually appealing design, with functional & responsive elements.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    1. The Consult: Like every kick-ass team, we gotta make sure we are a good match! After the initial inquiry, we will set up a phone call or Skype session (or in person meeting if you live in the Buffalo, NY area). I’ll ask you some questions regarding your business, vision and goals for your website and you’ll get the chance to ask me any questions and pick my brain about the project. 2. Booking: If we hit it off and find that we’re an awesome fit, I’ll put together the contract & invoice for our project together and send it your way. If everything prepared is good to go, you can sign the contract online and pay the required down payment. (Typically the down payment is 1/2 or 1/3 of the project price. If the project is small, the entire payment may be due up front) 3. Litttttle Bit of Homework, for you! In order for me to get started, depending on the project, I’ll need you to get some things together for me. This can include files, images, content, login account info, etc. 4. Depends on Your Package 🙂 The fourth step usually depends on the package of your choosing. Full website design packages will include a PDF mockup of the homepage (+ 2-3 other pages), changes & variation phase, final design approval, website coding & development phase, testing, launching, and email support!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

How Did I Start Web Designing? Honestly, MySpace. I taught myself HTML and CSS to help customize my MySpace profile back when I was around 14 years old. When it came to coding, something just…clicked. I would help my friends tweak their profiles & edit their pictures; it was totally my thing. The whole “Mariah Magazine” name actually came from MySpace. It flows a whole lot easier than my actual last name so people started sticking to that one instead. College/Degree? I tried out college for 4 years. Bounced between 6 different majors & racked up enough credits to choke a horse, but nothing correlated into a single degree. College taught me everything I didn’t wanna do and it actually pushed me right back to where I started, website customization. I’m a hands on learner & I learn quicker through experience. Most of my skills and expertise were gained through curiosity, research, self-teaching & internships.
