I love the written word! Though my expertise is in academic editing, I love literature as well.
In a nutshell, I help my clients express themselves clearly, whether they are writing a college application essay, a dissertation, research proposal or academic article.
At the start of my career, I was a social worker. I hold a master's degree in social work and an LICSW (Mass.) so at my core, I enjoy helping people.
I do much work online with academics across the world whose native tongue is not English. I enjoy building these relationships as well.

She is excellent to work with! I've worked with her for 8 years throughout college and graduate school. She is an excellent editor, very professional, friendly and easy to work with. My daughter was applying for College and had sought Paula's assistance in editing all of her College Essays. Paula did an excellent job not only in editing her papers, but took a pragmatic look at her statements and what she was trying to convey to the academic audience. She also served as a mentor in coaching her on interview techniques and follow through.
