Ryan, from ElevationBuild showed up on time for an estimate on a new roof over a sunroom on a Friday morning . Ryan explained exactly what he felt needed to be done and said he could get the work done the following Tuesday. He and his crew showed up Tuesday morning and completed the job at the cost quoted. They did a great job and cleaned and hauled away all the debris. I highly recommend using ElevationBuild, and I will use them for any additional needed home repairs. I should add that since we were expecting rain over the weekend Ryan nailed a sheet of plastic over the damaged area of the roof to protect from leaks prior to leaving on Friday morning. So after multiple communications back and forth Ryan showed up to review the job. First off the guy hadn't bothered to look at the description of the job I had provided on Thimbtack. Anyway that was a minor issue. He proceeded to tell me everything that was wrong with my gutters, in addition to giving me some ideas on the work I had actually requested around my deck. Then he threw out a price as if to check how I would react. Told him I was fine with and to send me a detailed quote on both the work I had requested as well as to fix all the things he seemed to think we're wrong with our gutters (ours is a premium custom home built 8 years ago by the way). Sure he said I'll send you the quote. That was the end of it though. Never heard back. An aggressive sales guy who can't follow up. I would not recommend.

Customer wanted gutters on the fascia of his deck, which is made no where in the country. As a design build I had contacted 3'' aluminum manufactures and they said they no longer produced a seamless system. We were trying to see if we can custom make one out of coil but it took more then 24 hours for us to get back to this customer. Mr. Jai came across as the business CEO type that wanted things right away when the market doesn't even have what he wanted.

I don’t typically write reviews when I receive an estimate, but I was pretty turned off by my appointment. Background - my prior contractor installed the wrong color metal roof on the top story of my house. I met with roofers to determine if I should tear it down, paint it, or come up with another option. The first story of the house has no roof, just plywood, so it needs a roof installed. The good: they were on time to the appointment and called prior to confirm. They also came prepared with samples, which was helpful. The bad: I have a new construction home that had an existing first level (new second level). I find it off-putting to show up and tell someone the windows they selected are horrible windows (after they have been installed), and to comment on the workmanship of stuff that’s irrelevant to a roof estimate. I was given one estimate (after a long sales pitch) that I told them was outside of my budget. A few minutes later, I was told that is the price if I purchase within a year; the price drops significantly if I purchase within 90 days. Then I was given another price if I made a decision right then and was told the offer was off the table once they left. I was also told several times that they “don’t need the work”. I may be a fool, but how on earth can I go a year without a roof on part of my house. Of course I’m looking to put a roof on in the next 90 days so why not offer that from the beginning. I was also told that I must tear down the existing metal roofing because it was installed incorrectly (from glance, not inspection) and had no drip edge installed. I had another roofer come out to check today and was told that there IS a drip edge and it looks to be installed correctly. I don’t know if this is how they try to make a sale with everyone, or if they assumed I was an idiot because I’m a woman. I can’t speak to their work - it seems to be good from the reviews on Thumbtack, but drop the used car salesman pitch.

I had come out of my way to help you and give you advice on the build, on how to deal with your contractor situation and now you leave this defamatory statement. Each project is different based on customers needs and wants, we have a good, better and best options for all of our lines. So if your looking to sell the house we will give you a great product and save you as much money. If you are looking to stay in the home we will give you the most your money can buy when it comes to durability and energy efficiency. We tailor these estimates to you rather than putting you in a box.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Unlike many contractors we don't assume you need new roof or windows until we come out and do a free inspection. Upon inspecting the home and getting your needs/goals we put together a solution that meets your budget and demands. Pricing and consolation is a short meeting without the drawn out presentations so many companies go through and we give you pricing on the first visit. We don't push to earn your business because we are professionals with a conscience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our work is installed by our certified installers. When it comes to windows we are AAMA certified which is important in order for the job to be done correctly and not to lose any manufacture warranties. With roofing we are GAF certified which only top 2% of roofers get that level of installation. With siding we are VSI certified trained by the Vinyl Institute so you know that your exteriors are installed correctly the first time. We abide to the highest standards of industry so you can have that piece of mind.
