- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our hourly rate is $75.00. After discussing the project, we will be glad to provide an estimate, and do our best to adhere to it, or to let you know when we approach a point in the process when the scope has sufficiently changed to warrant a revised estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There are essentially two paths to a successful design solution: A) We can work out tight creative and visual concepts at the beginning, then create the visuals and design to suit. B) We can utilize resources the client may have on hand, supplement them as needed with crisper copy or more dynamic imagery, and then combine the elements to see what develops. An ad, a website, even a magazine will practically design itself if you allow the elements themselves to steer the design direction. We are comfortable working either way. However, we find ourselves down the second path far more often. For better or worse, this business is deadline driven, and there often isn’t the time or budget to make everything the best it can be. But we will make the best out of everything we can.

Graduate of Ringling School of Art & Design – Sarasota, Fla, 1988 Undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia – Athens, Ga, 1983-1985 Presently Owner/Operator ~ Renaissart Graphic Design, Mt Pleasant, SC • A full service graphics firm – offering clients a wide range of design assistance with both print and digital media. 2000 Founding Partner ~ Splash Marketing • A consortium of creative partners – offering clients graphic design, photography, copy writing, brand development and marketing, event planning and coordination, and public relations. 1998-2000 Art Director ~ Media Services, Inc, Mt. Pleasant, SC • Responsibilities included design and production of ads and layouts for three 4-color process magazines and various print materials. 1996-1998 Senior Partner ~ CATgraphics, Mt. Pleasant, SC • In addition to managing the business, accounts payable and receivable, responsibilities included designing web pages and creating graphics for internet sites, as well as producing camera-ready layouts and illustrations for magazines, brochures and various other print materials. 1994-1995 Art Director ~ Tournament Illustrated, Charleston, SC • Responsibilities included design and production of a 4-color process international sportfishing magazine. 1991-1993 Art Director & Partner ~ Graffiti Advertising, Charleston, SC • Responsibilities included account management, directing photo shoots and commercials, designing layouts and creating illustrations for various ads and printed materials. 1989-1991 Art Director ~ Pro Media Advertising, Charleston, SC • Responsibilities included designing layouts and creating illustrations for various ads and printed materials.
