I hired Jen for my son's 8th birthday party at our house. This is my third time hiring a photographer for my children's birthday parties and third time using Thumbtack. I'm fortunate that I haven't had a bad experience, but Jen has far surpassed everyone else. I love our photographs! And I am very uptight about pictures. I am the family photographer, I take way too many pictures trying to document my children and I'm often not in them as a result. I've been hiring photographers so that I can manage the birthday parties easier, maybe enjoy it a bit, and to be in some pictures. But Jen's picture quality is better than I would have taken. A double win! Jen was very easy to work with. She responded quickly to my bid. She was early to the party to get a sense of our house. She was super friendly and kind with the kids (we have a 8 year old and a 4 year old, and all the kids at the party liked her). She got my son to actually look at her and smile (something he doesn't do for me!). When I asked her to take specific pictures, she was happy to do it. It was a long, hot party and she was friendly and upbeat the whole time. If she was hot and exhausted, she didn't show it. I highly recommend her. She's a friendly, talented, hard working photographer. If you have any questions that I can answer, please let me know. I do get a little nervous hiring strangers for my kids' birthday parties, especially since some of them are at our house, but so far I've had great luck with Thumbtack and we love Jen! Hire her!

When working with new customers, I love getting to know them and their story, then just having fun together while getting some beautiful photos of their precious moments.

I’ve worked as a photographer for 2 studios, started a photography ministry in my church, and have taken countless courses and seminars.
