- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is typically based per hour, which begins at $35/hour and goes up to $65/hour. Most of my business plan and technical writing are charged at no more than 10 hours and average around $35 - 45/hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With 15 years of experience in real estate, personal finance, entrepreneurship, and community service, I perform technical writing almost daily. My professional experience includes writing workshops and/course scripts, published articles, business letters and sales scripts, business processes, business plans, presentations, and progress/status reports.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I recently was made eligible for several grants; one was a needs-based education grant, another was a needs-based business start-up grant, and a third was a competitive business start-up grant. I successfully submitted for and won the needs-based education grant as well as the competitive business start up grant. I enjoyed the research and technical writing associated with completing each of these grant submissions and finally convinced myself that I could use my ability to write to enrich others and earn money as well.
