FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each plan is priced individually resulting in plans suitable for all budgets. An initial client meeting will take place to discuss site location and project goals and establish a residential development type. Market research will be conducted on rates, zoning, and location to determine which product type is right for you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with an architect involves a collaborative process aimed at translating your vision and needs into a well-designed and functional space. Here's an overview of the typical process of working with an architect: Initial Consultation: You'll have an initial meeting with the architect to discuss your project goals, requirements, and constraints. This meeting helps establish rapport and ensures alignment between your expectations and the architect's capabilities. Site Analysis and Research: The architect conducts a thorough analysis of the project site, considering factors such as topography, climate, zoning regulations, and neighboring structures. They may also research historical context, local building codes, and environmental considerations. Programming and Concept Development: Based on your input and site analysis, the architect develops a program outlining the functional requirements and spatial needs of the project. They then explore conceptual design ideas and present you with preliminary design concepts for feedback and refinement. Design Development: Once the conceptual direction is approved, the architect further develops the design, incorporating details and refining the layout, materials, and aesthetics. You'll collaborate closely during this phase to review design iterations and make adjustments as needed. Construction Documents: The architect prepares detailed drawings, specifications, and other construction documents necessary for obtaining permits and guiding the construction process. These documents include floor plans, elevations, sections, structural details, and material specifications. Bidding and Contractor Selection: With the construction documents completed, you have the option to solicit bids from contractors for the construction work. The architect can assist in evaluating bids and selecting a contractor based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost. Construction Administration: During the construction phase, the architect provides oversight and support to ensure that the project is built according to the design intent and specifications. They may conduct site visits, review progress, respond to contractor inquiries, and address any design issues that arise.
