FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every job is different how the basics are to look at the work, determine how long it should take, if all the stars and planets line up just right. Add in materials and time to get those, add profit and overhead and there you have it. Some jobs are too simple for all that and we just charge a minimum charge based on what we see.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to talk to or email clients to get some idea of the project or projects they wish to complete. Most of the time I am unable to price jobs over the phone or email, I can based on limited information provide a ballpark estimate at times. This is something clients should not hire on as its not a firm price. Going to the clients home is the best idea after the initial communication. This gives me that best chance to price it correctly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have about 25 yrs of experience, some old certifications in various trades but most of my qualifications simply come from doing the work for so long. Even with all the experience I have, I still see new things. Add in all the new materials we have to work with and its always an adventure.
