FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my pricing on how involved the project is. For example to keep pricing down, keep the time down. So if the client has a good idea of what they want and the design solution is simple it will naturally cost less. The cost is relative to the amount of time. I also consider what their budget will allow and I am always willing to suggest ways of keeping the project on track, if they are open to it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start the project with a consultation either in person or cell. Once the need of the client is established, before I formulate ideas I like to listen to what they were thinking, trying to extract what the client’s vision is for their logo or design. Since most projects are start up companies, we are establishing their “brand”. I like to ask them about the personality they want to establish. Casual and friendly, serious and all business. This should be the collaboration and brainstorming phase. Usually once we get to the essence of this I can move forward with 2 or 3 initial designs for their review. Once I get their input and discuss it I tweak the design if they had revisions. I move forward with the final layout and once I have gained their approval I complete the finished art.
