FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide a free consultation to make sure that it's something the customer is really interested in. And then I usually have a $20/hr base fee, but depending on the situation, I could drop the price as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked at 3 different training/boarding places in the past 5 years gaining as much knowledge and experience as I can. I have also worked at a pet store and can provide extensive knowledge about pet nutrition and how that can be a huge factor in the behavior of your animal.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started when I was very little and got interested in training my own dog, a 5 year old beagle named Scout! I went to many kid/dog training camps and fell in love with the sport dog agility. I competed with him and eventually trained my current dog to compete as well. I got a job my freshman year of high school to intern with a dog training/boarding facility and worked there for 4 years, loving every minute of it and I have a strong desire to learn as much as I can about dog training and sharing my knowledge and education with my own clients.
