FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will start by scheduling an intake appointment that lasts 45-50 minutes. Before we meet, I will ask you to fill out a brief intake form online, so that I have some basic information about you and your goals for counseling. I will also send you my consent form for you to look over before I ask you to sign it in our first session. The intake appointment is a chance to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit to work together. If we agree that we are a good fit to work together, then we will schedule another appointment to continue counseling. It usually works best if we can choose an ongoing weekly time to meet together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology and I have passed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (the national licensing exam for psychologists). I currently have a Psychologist Candidate license in the state of Colorado, and will update that to a Psychologist license as soon as I finish the required number of post-doctoral supervision hours.
