We bought a new home a couple months back and the irrigation system was done very poorly by a big-box company. Everything from pipes leaking and pooling water to sprinkler heads not operating. They also tied the irrigation to the main house line so we couldn't cut one off without affecting the other. The controller was buried in the flower bed which I wanted moved to the garage and updated with a smart Rachio controller.
I posted on Thumbtack for quotes which ranged from $500-1200. I then heard from Mike but saw he didn't have many prior reviews so I almost didn't call him.
I'm extremely thankful I gave him a shot.
He came out quickly to take a look at the project and was punctual. His demeanor was very relaxed and polite. He did not feel the least bit pushy or have a sales-oriented attitude. He quoted 300 for labor plus parts. I was skeptical. I asked him to walk me through the project and his description was the same as the people who quoted 1200.
I decided to hire him and he came out the very next day. He stayed in communication via phone and text messages. He brought one person with him to help who was equally polite. As they worked, he would point out what they were doing whenever I was around.
They fixed every issue and left it all much neater and organized than when we bought the home. I was equally impressed with their job pulling the wire under the house and mounting the new controller to the wall in our garage. The job looked professional and clean. They even wanted to wipe down the wall for me because of mud smears.
I'm truly impressed with their work and had Mike quote me on a few other things the wife and I want done around the house.
I will, without a doubt, hire Mike again.
