FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard pricing formula based upon the length of the event, equipment needed/requested, and length of travel: $75/hour Performance Fee $15/hour for basic equipment, including audio system, up to 2 mics, and up to two speakers (will suffice for most in venues, including banquet halls, houses) $25/hour for deluxe equipment, including audio system, up to 4 mics, and up to 5 speakers. (May be needed for a large convention center, or larger outdoor event). $10/hour/item if effects lighting, fog machine, and/or video projector is needed. $50 Flat travel fee if more than 30 miles from Columbus, GA, but no more than 100 miles. *Any request beyond the aforementioned parameters will need to receive a customized quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with A/V since my high school DJing days. Formally, I had an opportunity to train under a Master A/V Engineer during a summer internship at Wheeler Audio in Kansas City, MO. Not only did I have an opportunity to work on various commercials and marketing campaigns, but I also work on music production for professional recording artists, and even cut my own demo record.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started DJing parties in high during the mid 80's, and fell in love with the craft.
