If you're looking for a photographer to shoot who you are, who you want to be- Jamie is your artist! Her creative eye extends beyond the lens. She won't generically pose you, won't make you feel and look unnatural. Instead, she'll capture you as you are and make your portraits look like they belong in a magazine. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have working as a pro photographer since 2008, but I've been photographing since I was a young girl. During high school I was rolling + developing film, as well as printing in a b&w darkroom. That continued during college, and then I transitioned into the digital world. Although I solely shoot digitally now, I think photographers who were trained with film have a unique approach to shooting. You couldn't instantly preview images on a screen and make adjustments to your shooting. You really have to understand light + composition in the moment, I think that changes the way you shoot. You're more in tune with your equipment and the way you see and compose a shot.
