FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with all of my students (and parents) before I start working with anyone in order to gain some familiarity and comfort as well as to align the goals of all the parties involved before starting work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I tutored for three years as part of the Fast Track Mentor program at Sycamore High School in Cincinnati. I recently graduated from The Ohio State University with a business degree specializing in finance, and have since taken both the GRE and GMAT in order to apply to graduate programs. I have also tutored multiple students 1 on 1 in high school math & science subjects, GRE prep, and ACT/SAT prep. In addition, I have experience working with younger kids through the "Mighty Aves" basketball program where I was a volunteer coach for elementary school and middle school age children.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first became involved in tutoring through the Fast Track Mentor program at Sycamore High School in 2011 and tutored 3 students over 3 years. I have tutored multiple other students over the years in different subjects, and have recently decided to expand this practice due to an interest and passion for teaching. I also feel that this will be an invaluable learning experience as I prepare for graduate psychology programs.
