This has been as disappointing of an experience as I could have possibly imagined. First the positives: they responded quickly at first, initial follow up from Mark was good. He claimed to be a “good ol boy” wanting to do right by people. The electrical work was completed per request. Now the negatives: the dishwasher installed failed to install the drain hose, so Mark had to come out personally. When I learned the dishwasher was leaking tonight, I was told that he would not send anyone in his place and he would not be available until next Friday. We are now 3 days away from Christmas and although I appreciate family, you should stand behind your work and send someone else. This response was not a surprise because prior to this weekend, they agreed to do some painting for us. After rescheduling 3 times they finally “subcontracted” the job. The gentleman came out and fell from the ladder. I am grateful still today that the man is alive although he suffered horrible injuries. Not only did they not send someone to clean up the paint and blood all over my living room, but refused to cover any of the cleaning costs associated with the accident. I would strongly advise requesting insurance documents with all individuals that they send to your home. Please be cautious when using this company.Dec 23, 2018VerifiedOn the Mark Home Services's reply
I am surprised by this review. I am sorry you were disappointed, but I did not “subcontract” the painting. I am a small business so posting lies is detrimental to me. My only hope is that people read all the other positive reviews. When you needed the painting done and I was unable to do it in your time frame I referred you to someone else that might be able to help you in the time frame you needed. I did not subcontract as that would imply I employed the individual or profited in some way. I have learned from this experience that I will not refer anyone else. As far as your dishwasher I told you I would come do any necessary repairs when I return home. There is no one else to send or I would have done so. I am out of town visiting my family for Christmas. I am sorry for your inconvenience, and I will be happy to handle it upon my return. I hope you have a blessed new year.
On The Mark did a great job on my gutters. They were open to using new products and gave me a great price. We’re super happy. Thanks!Dec 12, 2018Verified

Came quickly and did a great job fixing the gutter that was pulling away from the houseSep 11, 2018VerifiedOn the Mark Home Services's reply
Thank you for taking the time to review us!
Mark was great, we appreciated his insights and advice for solving a problem with lack of space. In the end, we have gutters, and they look good. We'll probably use them again for the rest of the house later, but will have to make sure that the owner (Mark) quotes the project. Getting the project going was a bit rocky and I think the supporting staff has a couple areas of improvement. The person that came to give the quote was in a hurry and said "yes there is room for a gutter there" - without measuring (there wasn't room) and said, sure, two downspouts is fine. He also forgot to bring the color samples we asked to see so we just had to guess what would look good. After installation, we were surprised by the small 2x3 size of the downspouts, they look odd - if you want 3x4, make sure and ask. The office assured us that they've never had a problem with the small ones before, but then accused us of "not allowing" more than two downspouts. If the original guy had told us that three was required, we would have built the drainage to accommodate three. Also - if two isn't enough capacity, wouldn't you use the larger ones? We'll see. Luckily they do offer a warranty so they'll come back out if we have overflow problems in the next torrential Houston downpour.Dec 22, 2018Verified
