FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For blogs/articles, the starting fee is $20, and then length plays a role. The shorter the article the lower the price. For helping with your story/editing: Base fee of $50, then will increase the longer the piece. For formatting your piece into an eBook or physical book, I will charge nothing. In this case, the work must be completely finished by you. I will not proofread/edit the piece unless you request this service, and that will be as listed above. Your piece will be placed into the book as is. I will only format it. If you decide to publish your book, I use Blurb.com. I will upload your book and they will make it up for sale on their site. You may buy one at a time or as many as you like. The prices for them to print your book varies, but is very affordable. Learn more about that on their site.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will first discuss what you want. If it's a simple writing assignment, you will give me parameters and let me know everything you want in the article. If you would like to have work of yours (that is completed, edited, and ready to be published) formatted into a book, we will discuss what type of book and I will create a version of your book. You can ask for tweaks as needed until it is completed, and then i will go through the process to have it published. I can also format your work into an eBook. This process can easily create both a physical copy and an eBook. If you have a rough draft and need help editing, reworking, or proofreading, I will read your rough draft and we will discuss possible plot holes and address any mistakes in consistency, grammar, etc. I can also help with poetry. If you would like to format it into a book/eBook afterward I can do that as well. I can write non-fiction articles as well. Note: I am not a graphic designer. If you do not submit cover art for a book or eBook, the cover will only have the title and the author's/writer's name on the front.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my bachelor's from the University of Central Arkansas in 2015 in Creative Writing, with comrehensive courses in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, novel writing, children's fiction, young adult fiction and editing. I have also formatted two books and had them professionally published. I specialize in young-adult fiction. Note: I help create the books; I do not distribute them.
