Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: As an experienced Landscape Designer I listen to my clients and provide the creative design they desire. I have a BLA in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota. Early in my career I was a Landscape Architect for the National Park Service at Mount Rainier and Yosemite National Parks. More recently I have worked in residential and commercial design. DESIGN SERVICES AND PROCESS Whether you’re a “DIY” install the landscape yourself person or you hire a landscape contractor, Plantscape Design will develop hand drafted plans for a proper installation. Understanding of plants and garden locations that make plants happy. Elegant curb appeal. Unique water features. Water efficient plants. Back yard oasis! Attention to drainage and soil conditions in your yard. Allow me to recommend quality contractors that can provide great service at a reasonable price. SERVICES: Design cost vary depending on the size of the job, materials and desires of the home owner. MASTER PLAN If you have a built a new home or want a “remodel” of your homes front, back and side yards, we recommend a master plan. Your master plan will include: a site analysis plan, a planting plan, and construction plan with detailed elevation sketches. PLANTING PLAN I’ll suggest plants that showcase your yard, thrive in the location and meet your desires and goals. Curb appeal, fragrance, year around color and texture are important design elements. A plant list and planting guidelines will be provided if needed. CONSULTATION AT YOUR HOME A 90 minute consultation at your home can give you just the inspiration you need to clarify your goals, get planting ideas for a small area, or jump-start your next landscaping project. Fee: $90 MY PROCESS IN WORKING WITH A NEW CUSTOMER: I will schedule an appointment with you on site, asking questions and listening to your interests and desires. I will provide a design estimate and allow you to respond before I prepare a design, sketch or plan. Once the plan is approved you can take the construction drawings to a contractor to get an accurate bid or use my service of finding a reliable contractor to do the work on time and within budget. MY EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN LANDSCAPE DESIGN:: I have a professional degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota. I also have a 2 year Drafting degree. I worked as a Draftsman for a Civil Engineering firm, gaining valuable knowledge of design, construction, surveying, project layout and professional standards in engineering and architecture. HOW I GOT STARTED IN LANDSCAPE DESIGN: I grew up on a South Dakota farm and developed a strong work ethic from my parents. I enjoyed working the land and seeing things grow. I also liked to build things (fences, picnic tables, dog house, etc.). I have combined my interested in agriculture and engineering to seek a career in Landscape Architecture. ADVICE FOR A PERSON LOOKING TO HIRE A LANDSCAPE DESIGNER? It is important to find a designer that takes an interest in your needs and desires. The provider should have good communication skills and come highly recommended. I enjoy people, listening to their needs and providing a functional design that works within the clients budget and needs.

Lee Davis helped in the design of our front yard in Corvallis, Oregon. The design reflected outstanding drafting skills and very thoughtful artistic design. Lee's knowledge of the plants and soils was especially impressive. Most of all, Lee's communication skills and understanding of our needs led to trust and admiration of his basic character as an individual. I would recommend Lee Davis as an outstanding choice for a landscape advisor.

I am a masonry and hardscape contractor, and have installed several of Lee's designs. He is very creative and professional, and is a pleasure to work with!

We've known Lee and his wife, Julie, for a while. But it was a happy day when we learned that Lee is a landscape designer. He not only has an artist's eye, but he has the ability to really listen. He was able to take the 'feeling' we wanted (serene, peaceful) and translate it into a wonderful design. He was also happy to coordinate our hardscaper and irrigation team, which made it so much easier for us. Lee has earned our full trust. Our project is still in process, but every aspect has been wonderful and cooperative and we know that it is going to be amazing!

Lee was referred by a friend after struggling to find someone creative, flexible, yet affordable for a multi-year landscaping plan. He identified immediately the major problems on our 1/2 acre of sloping hillside. Lee is a great listener with initial concept drawings that gets you enthusiastic to start making your home beautiful and functional at the same time. He provides the steps forward for success with a real caring attitude. I have happily recommended him to friends.
