- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether they are referred to me or maybe I'm local to them or if I find them through thumbtack and contact them I always meet them or go to the property and give a free evaluation before giving a final firm estimate. If they decide to use me I'll usually get their email address and send them a formal estimate and contract which also acts as your warranty. Most of the time my crew and I will start the job on day 1 and work until the end of the day and then I'll collect my down payment. I don't like to and won't take any money from anybody unless Ive done some work for it, nor would I ever give anybody any money to work on my house or car until they started the work. So I get the down payment at end of day 1 which is normally 30-50%, then the balance will be due upon completion, which will all be written on the estimate and contract. When the work is done and everything is cleaned up from their home we'll do a walk around the entire jobsite job with the customer to see if they have any questions or concerns and if they're happy with the quality of the work. Only when they're happy or content with the job and we are packed up and ready to pull out do I ask for the final payment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a union laborer for 7 years working on a lot of the big commercial concrete projects in my area. I also have over 10 years of experience excavating, waterproofing, building(new construction), reconstructing(existing structures), repairing and stabilizing all types of residential foundations(cinder block, clay tile block, poured concrete walls).
