Introduction: I have had great success in guiding job seekers in differentiating themselves from the competition and getting the job they wanted. Many of my clients had been out of work for more than a year, were downsized after working for a company, or were looking for a career change but were not getting noticed by employers. We worked together to create the stepping stones toward the position they wanted. In many cases, they got the job within 2--4 weeks by using the skills and techniques we developed in our career coaching relationship. I enjoy working with clients that either know the job they want or are seeking a different career direction. Sometimes the difference between success and failure is using different tools and resources and taking that step toward doing things differently to get noticed and hiredI work with you to create that difference. I help clients develop some very unique methods in pursuing a career and how to represent themselves in different ways that capture the attention of HR screeners and interviewers. If you don't attract their attention in the first 15-30 seconds, they typically will move to the next applicant. I also teach clients how to develop and actively guide the interview as opposed to waiting for the interviewers to fire questions at you. Other areas are what to take with you, how to create a presentation and working portfolio; creating a resume that speaks directly to the competencies and essential functions of a job position; winning cover letters; development of an experience chart; knowing and understanding your personality and strengths (MBTI); using the techniques in the Power of Choice; employing emotional intelligence; and how to ace the interview and turn the tough questions into positive responses. The premise of what we will develop in a career coaching relationship is how you differentiate yourself from the other 20 people applying for the position. Most of my clients have developed all the skills and material they need to get the desired job in three to four sessions. Each session is filled with solid materials and active engagement. The goal is to give you new skills and resources for use in the screening and interview process. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $95 per session. My sessions typically go well beyond the customary 45 minutes to an hour. As long as we are meeting your objectives and working together, we keep on moving forward. It is not about the clock, it is about helping you achieve your goals. My clients typically have all the resources and have demonstrated the skills to approach a job position in a very different way by the end of the third session. I do ask clients to commit to at least three sessions so we may develop the resources and practice what they will use in acquiring a position.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with my clients in a public location and work with them in establishing career perspectives and tailoring their information to match job specific competencies and essential functions.
