Introduction: Candid, Intuitive and Creative defines Karl Downing Photography. I’m Karl and I have a passion for photography with a simple philosophy; “the pictures are of you, and they should belong to you”. I charge for the session, not the photo packages that other photographers sell you on. Originally from the Dayton, Ohio, I took up photography in high school when I was involved in Muse Machine. It was an interesting way to take pictures from an artistic standpoint rather than just snapping a few photos of family and friends. Through the years I have always been enthusiastic about photography and what one can do with a camera, however, recently I have been pushing that enthusiasm into a passion and a successful business, Taking pictures and setting up photo shoots of Weddings, High School Seniors, Families and Events. We are TALIJA ART CO and we met Karl on our USA dance tour. It is impossible for us to make good photos while performing and it’s pretty hard for others if you are not familiar with every second of the show but Karl proved himself a formidable storyteller, from show to portrait he beautifully captured the individuality and uniqueness of every dance therefore our culture and the warmth of our community. You feel like you’re watching a movie. He managed to capture our world full of sights, sounds and movement in one click. I highly recommend Karl Downing and his company for high-quality event photography. He was the official photographer for an international event that took place over three days and involved dozens of national and international dignitaries and hundreds of other guests. He took excellent pictures of the events, the speakers and the panels, and did a great job covering the guests, too. I prefer to have a personal consultation, via phone or in person, because we must build a rapport in order to have a fun and successful photo session.
