FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Portrait sessions typically run between $150 - $300 depending on time and travel. Post processing and printing can carry based on the intended end result.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First thing I like to discover is the intended use for the final product and then I like to collaborate with the client working backward from there. Discussion topics include: Setting - It is critical start with setting which will set the mood for an image. It's important to know if I need to scout a location or book some studio time, but the final image will always carry more emotional weight if the client comes to the table with and setting that is important to them. Hair/Makeup/Wardrobe - These three things encompass the "creative" element of the image, but they don't have to make or break a shoot. Things like engagement, family, event, or pet photography need very little. Subjects can dress and style themselves without any big issues (unless you want to get more creative, in which case I can contract designers for a premium). For Cosplay Portraiture, your welcome to provide your own model/hair/wardrobe/makeup, it just depends on the clients needs. (i.e. if you are costume designer in need of a model, I can provide this as well).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my a Bachelor of Science in Media and Photography and have been working on my own for the past year building my portfolio. I'm on the more inexpensive side since I'm relatively new to the game.
