About this pro
These ladies were a lovely and nice to work with during my special day. While I was pleased overall with their work, there are some thoughts I'd like to share w/ fellow brides so that you can be better prepared and hopefully improve outcome. Both ladies did a superb job on my hair and makeup. Make up was on point for all of us. My hair (which is just below shoulder length normally) looked great w/ the extensions placed by Ashley! I was told to make sure we had clean hair and faces for their arrival. So I instructed everyone to wash their hair before coming over. We were informed during the styling that is NOT the best thing to do. It is actually better to wash hair the day before for better styling. My hair did actually hold up pretty well considering it was freshly washed and we were married on a warm, breezy day at the beach. However 2 of the patron's hair lost the hair style by cocktail hour. Their hair was flat and limp. It maybe due to the texture of their hair. But it taught us to discuss products being used to ensure style for all textures will withstand certain environments. Lastly, we were running a bit late when it came time for my mother to have her hair done. She has the shortest hair and it made sense she go last. As mentioned, her hair is short. Generally when she has styling done, a small barrel curling iron is used to curl the top of the hair and then teased for volume. However, a small wand type curler was all that was available and she was not able to wrap the short hair around it. She put product in the hair and just used her fingers to try to shape it and then said to my mother (who already paid full price) "you should just play with it because you know your hair better". My mother ended up looking fine, but not professionally styled and certainly not worth the cost. Other than those issues, which can be avoided with proper discussion, they were nice to work with and the make up, once again, was on point.May 21, 2018VerifiedMartha B.'s reply
