I can't say enough great things about Alison McQuain Photography. Alison was our photographer for our Engagement Photos, Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Day. My husband and I did not expect to be nervous for our Engagement Photos, but the day of we actually were and Alison immediately made us feel calm and relaxed even though we didn't know her that well. We chose several locations in Atlanta for our pictures so it ended up being a long day and she was very accommodating. Alison has a great eye and added a flower shop to our location list. This isn't something I would've thought of and those are some of my favorite shots from that day. The whole Wedding weekend Alison also made us feel calm and did such a fabulous job capturing the love between my husband and I as well as our family and friends. She put up with our rowdy groomsmen as well ;) The wedding photos were so perfect and when she sent the jump drive to us the packaging was so professional and she even included a few prints. The quality of the pictures was amazing and I couldn't be happier with all of them! Not only is Alison an amazing photographer, she is also fun to be around! She is very responsive and easy to communicate with which made it so much better as a bride preparing for the big day. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to capture these special moments for us.

Alison was amazing! We hired her last fall to take our family pictures, and they exceeded our expectations. She worked well with the kids and was able to hold their attention. She picked a beautiful location I would have never thought of, and she was so creative with working the landscape into our photos. She was able to capture the unique dynamic of my family in a way that didn't feel contrived or posed. She was so professional, but also really friendly and relaxed and we never felt rushed. Overall, such a great experience and I would hire her again in a second. Great value!

Alison donated her time to take professional headshots at our conference for nonprofit staff members. Alison was on time, professional, and efficient. She even thought quickly by organizing the photos and contact information after a long line developed. The nonprofits participants were thrilled with their professional headshots. We are very grateful for Alison and her service to our nonprofits in East Tennessee!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with an email, phone call or personal meeting prior to the scheduled session to make sure the client is comfortable with me. After the session is completed I will edit the photographs and return to the client in the discussed time period with the discussed products. Payment is received at the session (deposits may be needed depending on the session type.)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Minor in Photojournalism from Union University in 2008
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography was my sanity during college and it quickly became my bread and butter after graduation.
