FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
- $39 per hour - In Person or Online Tutoring Available - Tolls are Reimbursable - I will travel to your location or am able to meet in a public location - Weekend hours vary from week to week
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When meeting with a new customer, I like to review the material that a new student wants assistance with and make sure it's a good fit. I try to be prepared as possible to help from the first few minutes onward. Every student is different...and my goal in the first session is to learn how I can best be of assistance to that student's individualized needs. I'm usually pretty flexible on locations. I travel pretty much anywhere in the Denver Metro area. If a toll road is required to reach a destination in time, I just ask for reimbursement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a high school Math teacher for the last 4 years. My teaching subjects include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, SAT/ACT Math Prep, and AP Statistics. My students do great on the NWEA MAP achievement tests that are taken 3 times per year. By the end of the year, every year that I have been a teacher, over 70% of students have reached their Math growth goal. Last year, over 80% of my students reached their goals! I have improved and perfected my craft, and I've enjoyed growing my tutoring business. I graduated with a B.S.B.A. from the University of Arkansas in Finance & Real Estate. I attended the U of A on a full scholarship with a 34 on my ACT and a 4.33 GPA in high school. I graduated Magna cum Laude with a 3.92 GPA over the course of my undergraduate work.
