Currently acceptingValue Options, Total Health Care, Blue Cross, Medicare, Priority Health, Medicaid Meridian, Medicaid Molia, Medicaid Blue Cross Complete and Multiplan. Offer a very competitive sliding fee schedule based on income for those who prefer not to use insurance (many avoid insurance due to co-pays, deductibles and/or privacy concerns).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial session (referred to by some as intake) takes about an hour and it's during this session we work collaboratively with a new client to explore history, identify needs and goals for treatment, and develop the course of treatment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Fully licensed Clinical and Macro Social Worker with no disciplinary or ethical violations.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Truly believe social work and helping others is the best profession ever!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Specialize in trauma and abuse as well as mental health issues, yet also work with a lot of couples and families. Everyone could benefit from counseling at some point in his/her life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Experience and credentials are crucial. I recommend looking for a fully licensed professional.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What specifically do you want to gain from therapy? Knowing your desired outcome will help you and your therapist develop a treatment plan that will help you achieve your goals in the least amount of time.
