My experience with C&M Improvements is quite negative. I paid him $275.00 as deposit to receive fence material (recommended by him) and to start installation. The material arrived and appointment made for him to meet delivery company at the house. Carlos showed up but told me the material being delivered is not what I had ordered because the picture on the packaging did not correspond to the 8' tall fences ordered. So the order was sent back. Two days later I received a call from the manufacture who explained that the picture was just a picture and the items are correct, so the delivery was rescheduled and confirmed with Carlos to receive them. The night before (around 9:30 pm) the items were scheduled to be delivered Carlos sent me an email saying that he could not receive the material. I was on vacation and only saw the email at midnight. He didn't bother to call me nor my assistant who organized the second delivery. Results: I had to pay another person to rent a truck and pick up the fences before they were going to be shipped back to Ohio. We are in Detroit, Michigan. After a discussion with Carlos about having to pay someone else to do his job, he was let go since he did not assume any responsibility and did not know when he could come to install the fence. I requested my deposit back, which first he said was going to return, secondly he said he was going to discount a fee to coming to the house and going to Home Depot to recommend the material for the job, thirdly it has passed almost two weeks and he DID NOT return my deposit regardless of my calls to his voice mail and text messages. I feel ripped off!
